Anna Chakvetadze found the game that took her to Top 5 last year after a dissapointing beggining of season and won the title in Paris indoors Tier II. Nevertheless it wasn't an easy victory, as she had to come back from a set down against Amelie Mauresmoo and Marion Bartoli in quarters and semis. She also needed three sets to defeat Agnes Szavay in the final who also recovered her best tennis after a bad start of season.
In Pattaya, top favorite Agnieszka Radwanska took advance of a very weak field as she was only Top 50 player and got her 2nd WTA title. American veteran Jill Craybas was runner-up and the only one who presented some opposition to Radwanska.
