Great climbs and career-high rankings for the big surprises of the US Open: semifinalist Yanina Wickmayer gains 28 places to #22, while quarter-finalists Katerina Bondarenko and Melanie Oudin climb 18 an 26 places to #34 and #44 respectively. Petra Kvitova moves 18 places up to #54 after upsetting WTA #1 Dinara Safina and reaching the Last-16 round. Besides Clijsters, greatest gainer in Top-100 is young Croat Petra Martic, who breaks into the Top-100 climbing from #137 to a career-high ranking at #89.
